Q: Is this lactose free?

  • A: noosa is not lactose free. Like other yoghurts, noosa is fermented with bacteria that breaks down lactose into lactic acid and varying flavor compounds. While there is a reduction in lactose during this fermentation, it is by no means complete and there is residual lactose in our product. While noosa does contain lactose, we do sometimes get comments from lactose intolerant individuals that they consume noosa with no issues, but this is something you would need to discuss with your doctor on an individual basis.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! The black cherry yoghurt is so delicious! I shared with my hubby the first time I tried it because it’s an 8oz container and 290 calories. We both thought it was the best tasting yoghurt we’ve ever tried - almost more like a dessert. It’s smooth and creamy with chunks of sweet cherries that can be eaten as-is or stirred up for a more blended rich taste. It truly satisfies all of my cravings. Also, love that the container lid can tightly be replaced if just going in for a bite. I have purchased several times now and can’t wait to try other flavors.

    Too Sweet

    I haven't had Noosa in a few years and wanted to try it again. It's still too sweet. I couldn't finish it. Maybe I will use a couple spoonfuls to sweeten a cup of my plain yogurt instead. It's too bad because the yogurt itself is tasty, but when you get to the fruit syrup, it's hard to finish. Noosa, will you make a low sugar version??

Upon first bite I realized it was incredibly sweet and figured it was just because I frequently eat plain 0 fat Greek yogurt. Yet, upon checking the label I realized it had 36 g of added cane sugar in this. Which holy holy I might as well eat some cookies or ice cream. So if you want this because you think it is healthy, then hard pass. If you want this just as a sweet snack, then this is really tasty, sweet, and creamy.

It completely blurs the line between a sensible breakfast and an indulgent dessert! The texture is incredibly rich and velvety since it's made with whole milk, and it has just the right touch of wildflower honey to balance the classic yogurt tang. The star of the show, though, is the buttery dulce de leche (made from slow-cooked caramelized milk) folded right in. It adds the most perfect, sweet caramel swirl that is absolutely delicious without being overpowering or overly artificial. I love that this 8oz tub packs a solid 12g of protein. It's incredibly satisfying and keeps me full all morning. The resealable lid is also a nice touch in case you can't finish the whole tub in one sitting. I love eating it plain or topping it with fresh raspberries or granola. If you have a bit of a sweet tooth but still want the benefits of a protein-packed yogurt with live active cultures, you have to try this one.
