Oink Games Scout Target Edition

It was an easy, fun game! It's also quick. Ages 7-80 all enjoyed the game. Has enough strategy with it to make it good for learning.

Complicated game. We ended up modifying the rules in order to keep the game going. With only 3 players, we found that we had too many cards and a round ended with one hand. Just wasn’t much fun for us.

This is a great game, everyone I've played it with has had a fun time, simple to learn but with enough interesting desicions to want to keep trying it again. There is some luck involved in how you get your cards, and sometimes it will just not work out in your favor, but there's a lot you can do to counter that and hopefully over the full game it balances out. Some other reviews complain about the form factor, obviously for $13 this isn't the $25 version of the game, but this is the full game and in a smaller form factor, plus the cards are just as good of quality as the other version, the only thing missing is the scoring chits which are easily replaced by keeping scores on paper. The box is also smaller overall, and while the cardstock is not as robust as the cardboard box, it seems like good quality and haven't had any issues bringing it places (it's also easier to throw in a bag because it's thiner and doesn't add as much lumpiness).

Not the real version of a great game! I thought I was getting the full game. This is just a deck of cards with cards instead of tokens and no scoring. Very disappointed will return. This may make it easier not to lose pieces of you take the game places, but that is negated by not including the original portable box. Bad decisions all around on this version.

This game is easy to learn and plays fast. It’s a great filler game. We host a game event weekly at a local college. This will work well at such an event.

I have played and owned Scout for a few years and was excited to see this new version available. I love that it is all just cards. Makes it very easy to play while camping or travelling. I always have it in my bag just in case game time happens. A great game from a great company. If you like trick taking games, you'll love this one.

amazing game with stripped down components. great value for those who don't mind and plan on getting plenty of wear and tear out of taking this out with them. perfect for breaking out at the bar without worrying too much about keeping the game in pristine condition.

This star rating is not for the game itself but for the inaccurate pictures to accompany the product. The version of this game that the store is selling is specifically for Target. It is cheaper than buying the game from competitors but does not include the playing chips-additional cards are used in place of the chips. The stock pictures show the full game with chips. I have called customer service to hopefully get this fixed so others won't have the same issue. I ended up returning mine and buying it online elsewhere to also include the playing chips. I called Target customer service and they were helpful and did offer an apology and some compensation to remedy the issue.
