About the Book

Book Synopsis

YOU THOUGHT THE STORY WAS COMPLETE. BUT THE STARS STILL HAVE SECRETS TO SHARE . . .

From Harry Whittaker, the co-author of No. 1 international bestseller Atlas: The Story of Pa Salt, comes an epic mystery set in the world of the Seven Sisters.

2009, Kent. Eccentric antiquarian bookseller Orlando Forbes is at his happiest working alongside Star D'Aplièse. But a mysterious visitor's request for a copy of A Christmas Carol sets in motion a long-buried literary mystery that the pair cannot resist investigating . . .

Who is orchestrating the trail of clues from the shadows?

What explosive secret is hidden within the pages of the rare first edition?

And what devastating act of revenge is planned against the Seven Sisters' legacy?

1835, London. Eliza Wetherill possesses a brilliant talent for writing, but the strict conventions of nineteenth-century society stand in the way of her ambition. When she is recognised and invited into the world of publishing by none other than Charles Dickens, she must choose between the safety of duty and the peril of her true calling - a choice with consequences that will echo across centuries.

As Orlando races to piece together the truth hidden within the book's pages, he and Star realise there are still many of her family's secrets left to uncover . . .

Step back into the world of Lucinda Riley's internationally bestselling Seven Sisters series. This is Orlando's story.
