About this item

Description

Formed in early 2010 in Gothenburg, Sweden, guitarist Oz Hawe Petersson (then known as Oz Osukaru) set out to bring something to life that didn't yet exist. It took a couple of years of shaping, through early EPs and relentless refinement, before the debut album Salvation arrived in 2012. With Transition in 2015, the pieces fell into place. Lineup changes and growing experience turned the vision into a fully formed entity, a milestone the band themselves point to as the moment Osukaru truly found it's identity. Rooted in classic stadium rock, the early releases leaned heavily on AOR. But even then, there were hints of something more. Over time, that edge sharpened. The melodies remained strong, but the sound gained weight, attitude, and punch. By House of Mirrors (2018), Osukaru had stepped fully into it's own world, melodic yet heavier and more driven. That momentum carried into Starbound (2021), bringing multi-million Spotify streams and setting the stage for what came next. Enter Tall Tales, the band's seventh album and clearest statement yet of how far that original vision has come. Produced by Oz Hawe Petersson with longtime singer Fredrik Werner (Daytona, Air Raid), it was mixed by Svein Jensen (Alicate, Sister Sin) and mastered by Mats Eriksson (Degreed). The cover and booklet artwork, created by Petersson with actress and model Eliza Sica, carry a subtle sense of unease and wonder, echoing the album's mysterious lyrical themes.
