Texture and flavor changed... Not the same chip

Pringles don't taste like Pringles anymore. The texture changed sometime around 2016 and the flavoring, even original salt, are not the same. It's just not the same chip any longer.

Pringles used to be my favorite. Eat one and you eat the entire can. They must have changed the recipe because they're plain awful, literally.

Terrible taste, thought they were stale

I don't eat a lot of junk food, so I picked a can of Orignial Pringles as a treat, except it turned out to be no treat at all. Noticing they didn't taste good, at first I thought they were stale, nope. Then I thought maybe I accidentally bought some "reduced fat" version. No, Original red can. That's when I realized they must have changed the recipe. The person who called them 'salty thin cardboard' was right on. That sounds extreme...like, how bad can they be? Well, I suggest you buy a small can to try them before buying the full size, cause these 'new' pringles are just awful.

What have they done to my once favorite chips? They are absolutely terrible, no flavor at all, not even salt. I almost threw up and in the garbage they went. , it’s back to the bagged ones from now on.
No Salt !

I agree with the most recent reviews - Pringles Original are missing salt almost entirely. The nutritional label says there is 150 mg of sodium in 15 chips, but I don’t believe it. Definitely have gone downhill in the unhealthy taste department.

I really miss the old Pringles. They were perfect as they were, but the new Pringles suck. It's very sad that after 40 years, I will stop buying them. Why did you go and ruin a good thing??

I hadn't eaten Pringles for about a month and those were salty and crispier but the latest pringles original flavor and salty and c rispy texture is gone, when i opened the can and bit into the Pringle chip I noticed it was thin and not salty but bland plus wasnt crisp but like eating styrofoam,. Im not buying Pringles anytime soon unless the original flavor and crispy texture is brought back.

They’ve lost their flavor, not sure why but the original Pringle chip is less salty and tastes stale. Very disappointed as I used to have them as my go to treat, no longer, changed brands

What have you done to your Pringles? I thought I got a bad batch but I realize now you changed the recipe. Terrible! Tasteless, bland, practically fall apart when you touch them. Whatever you did, big mistake! You lost a long time customer. I’ll switch to Lays or some other brand.

What on earth have you done to Pringles Originals? They used to be yummy. Not so any more. They are not as crisp & they seem to be a little thicker. Will finish this tube but will not be re-buying unless they return to their original yummy, can't resist another one and another... ten!

I agree with others. Pringles have gone downhill. I thought I just got a bad batch but after buying 6 cans from different stores I'm convinced that Pringles are no longer my go-to chips. Will buy them again in the future if they change the recipe back, but for now I'm looking for alternatives that actually have flavor and some salt on them.
Change for the Worse

Executive 1: "Let's change the manufacturing process to make it more cost-effective for the company." Recipe Specialist 1: "I'm not sure that is such a good idea, it will substantilly change the color, texture and flavor for the worse. The new process will essentially make the new chip a greasy, tasteless, former shell of the chip it once was." Executive 1: "Everything will be fine, no one will notice. Our profits will go up exponentially! What could go wrong?" Everything went wrong. We noticed. The new formula is disgusting and doesn't taste anything like the original pringles chip. Shame on you.

Pringles used to be my road trip snack not anymore. The original was my go to. I haven't bought any in some time and they have changed for the worse. Greasy smaller thinner and lacking flavor/salt. They don't have the same texture either. Whatever the heads of the company thought by changing thibgs to save money was a bad call. Sounds like many jave the same issue just lost a customer until the recipe changes back
