Bought it as a gift for 16 year old niece. played around with it and was impressed with the sound. Hope she can get some online classes.

With no space to fit a traditional drum set, this model is just right.

You gotta pound on the pads to get them to produce sound. Also you'll need to buy a jack adapter to use headphones with it. Layout of the drums is also not what most are used to.

My nephew said he loved Christmas gift. Can't keep him off drum kit now!

Have had this machine for 6 months now and use it weekly. The sounds are okay, but there are a lot you will never use. The two big issues I have with this machine is that the pedals are horrible, the hi-hat doesn't work very well, and it's almost impossible to get an open accent hit on it correctly, unless you hit the pad and lift your foot on the pedal just right. The worst part is that the bass drum sound has developed an issue where it double triggers when you press down on the pedal, which is very annoying, and pretty much makes this unit unusable for paying music, and others have complained about this as well. Tried getting a hold of the company as it's still under warranty and haven't gotten a response back. Not very happy.

I love my drum pad. It's AMAZING. My wife also bought me headphones and no noise. Only the tapping of the drumsticks. The response of the pads is AWESOME .

Overall, the set works and sounds better than I expected it to. I love how easy it is to arrange the kit and adjust the voices to my liking (for example, the hi-hat pad in the original setup is in the middle of the set, which felt weird to me, so I switched it to the upper left-hand pad so that it would feel closer to the way my acoustic kit is set up).

The Pyle PTED01 digital drums work great. It's easy to program the way you want by changing the pad voices and midi note pad assignments. The USB port allows you to connect to your computer for midi sequencing inside your digital audio workstation software. There are five memory locations to store your own drum kits for the internal kits and midi kits. The drum sounds have cross switching for soft and hard hits on the pads which adds a nice dynamic touch. You can play along with the 100 built in songs and mute the kit performances in each song with the ""Drum Off"" button, also you can practice and control the volume of the accompaniment tracks. Wonderful drum but the pedals are terrible quality.

As a non-musician with a deep appreciation for music, I thought this might be a fun toy. It's beyond that. As the reviews reveal, the pedals are the weak point, and they can easily be improved quite a bit. I simply bought an eight-dollar rubber-backed front door mat and added ""hook"" side Velcro to the bottom of each pedal. I put the floor mat down where I'm playing the drum kit and stick the pedals onto it, keeping them in place. To get more realistic control, you can spend extra cash and rig a real kick drum pedal with a home-made switch to work the drum kit's kick drum. There are lots of on-line videos to help get a basic understanding of drumming and drum technique. Have fun!

This is a great machine. It has many different sounds. The drum sticks are included. I did a lot of research before buying and this was my choice. I would recommend it to you. My only problem is I live in an apartment and it's very noisy. I bought earphones. Make sure you buy earphones with the large stereo attachment to plug it in.

This drum machine is okay for the price. The Good: It has a lot of different drum kit sounds that you can customize the way you want. Price was good. Main unit seems sturdy You can save kits and record your beats. It has a click track and different """"music"""" you can play along with. You can customize the individual pads to different sounds. Good for a beginner. The not so good: The hi-hat and bass drum pedals are awful. Small pieces of plastic that look like I will break them if I step down too hard. Not confident on how long they will last. The pedals are impossible to use on a hard floor as they keep sliding out from under my foot when playing, making it impossible to complete a song. I need to get some 2-sided tape or something (that won't mess up my hardwood floor) to keep them in place. Very frustrating. The open and close hi-hat function is almost useless if you want to do a open hi-hat accent as most of the time it doesn't work. You have to hit the pad and lift your foot off the pedal in a certain way for it to work correctly. It's odd having the hi-hat pad to the right of the snare drum pad, making it awkward to play, as I keep wanting to cross over to play the hi-hat correctly. The """"songs"""" to play along to all sound like bad synthesizer 80s music from a Miami Vice show. Almost all are Latin rhythms which are hard to play along to.

I'm going to be honest and i never ever play drums before. This is my first product and I hope to learn that way i can more up to bigger one. But sadly this is not something to start with. There too many buttons and setting. It would be nice if they offer lesson on this bad boy. Other than that this is a good product to have.
