A Bottled-in-Bond product, Rittenhouse is bottled at 100 proof, comes from one distiller in one distilling season, and is aged for a minimum of 4 years in a federally bonded warehouse. Along with its Bottled-in-Bond status, the high proof makes it stand out in any classic cocktail. Rittenhouse is the Rye Whisky of choice for both mixologists and whisky aficionados alike. Enjoy neat, on the rocks in a whiskey glass, or mix it into a Manhattan. For the bourbon lovers, this is the perfect rye to break into. The flavors don't get lost in a Manhattan/Old Fashioned and really stands up as a great go to bottle. I've gone through several bottles and single barrel picks and enjoyed all of them. Add it to your collection!

I love rye whiskeys, and this one is a standout among them. It is smooth and has an excellent flavor. My favorite way to drink it is to take three shots then down a chaser.

I asked very close friend who is a whiskey journalist what he would recommend in a whiskey that is affordable and he told me to check out Rittenhouse so I did and I loved it! I have bought it ever since which is now been well over a year ago when I ask him about a recommendation. That's my recommendation if you hear it from a whiskey journalist that written house is a really good affordable, bottled in bond, whiskey, then you know it really is!
Rittenhouse Rye is my go to whiskey.

My go to rye. I mostly use it in old fashioneds. I've tried dozens of other whiskeys in the same price range and none of them have matched the complexity and flavor of Rittenhouse.

One story of the Manhattan is that the name came from the area code for Manhattan (212), same as the ratio of ingredients (2 oz of whiskey, 1 oz of sweet vermouth, 2 dashes of bitters), but since I live in Chicago, our area code is 312. So I add an extra ounce and prefer the whiskey forwardness of that cocktail, and nothing beats Rittenhouse Rye! It's perfectly balanced, and the Bottled in Bond assures the quality. Cheers!

Not only is this a great foray into the world of ryes, I always have a bottle in my home bar. I also convinced my local lodge to carry this rye in their bar, and it's been very popular. I drink it neat, as I'm a manly man... but really, it's a great sipper!

Horrible medicine taste, nasty finish. A real disgrace to to a great name, bought to celebrate an exciting day of freedom. Hard to believe this is sold as a premium product, or a premium company. Neither is true.
