I remember this film from when I was a kid and then I just randomly saw it here online. Thanks Target! My kids enjoy it too. I think it’s so nice to show princess movie with actors from diverse backgrounds. This is a classic. Get it while you can!

Cinderella
I saw this movie when it premiered on tv in 1997. I love this movie! I also love Disney and everything with Whitney Houston. The musical numbers in this musical are fantastic! This is my favorite version of a Cinderella movie. I can't wait to watch it with my 3 year old nephew.

After all of these years, this is still the most memorable Cinderella I've seen!
I remember watching the Disney tv-movie adaptation of Cinderella with my daughter on ABC (I wish Disney still made TV movie that distributed on ABC, they only do them for the cable based ABC station). We loved it so much that we let her 2nd grade teacher borrow it, and it became a Friday movie day ritual after the children's spelling test. I'm an African American woman in my 50s, so you could imagine how wonderful I felt to see a childhood classic not only with a fresh production and costume team, but most importantly a truly diverse cast. I'm glad my daughter (much like many varied-pigmented children did during the release of The Princess and The Frog) got to see-not just hear from me- that there are beautiful hearts, minds, and faces of all kinds; and yes they too can be seen as stars! My VHS wore out so I had to purchase this DVD!

Love this movie!
I purchased this movie years and years ago when it was first released for my now 21, 18 & 16 year old daughters who watched it over and over. Recently while searching for Whitney movies, I saw this, so I just had to get this again so my 9 year old daughter could see it and she loves it! and I love the parts with the beloved Whitney Houston!
