Description

Stitch Iris, a small counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a violet-blue iris with golden-yellow markings rises between tall, sword-shaped green leaves. Worked in 11 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 14-count white Aida. A little stitcher's folklore: the iris is named after the Greek goddess of the rainbow, who carried messages between heaven and earth. Stitchers say this one brings good news. Why this kit: if you're new to cross stitch or want a quick finish, this simple flower is ideal. A lovely small gift, and a set with RTO's Chrysanthemum and Cornflower. Kit includes: 14-count white Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 11 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included. Start with the yellow markings, then the violet petals from dark to light. Finish with the tall green leaves. Finished size: 10×10 cm (3.94×3.94 in). A bright little flower picture to frame and a quick handmade gift.
