Beautiful but functions poorly

I so wanted to love this stapler. It looks beautiful on my desk. Unfortunately it stopped working after about a week. There is a problem with the spring mechanism that causes it to slide over the staples instead of connecting with them. It's too bad because it looks very sleek and cool.
