[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In many ways Samsung drives are now what ASUS has been mainboard-wise for me: rock solid. Ive read countless reviews and comparisons of NVME SSDs for PCI-E and I always come back to Samsung, since their a 100% reliable when you need them to be. My old 870 Evo is still in use in the PC of my wife and has done so without any quirks for over 5 years - if that aint endurance O dont know what is. My newer 9100 Pro is running in my laptop and I was super glad about the easy compatibility. Its booting up Windows there in no time, it just feels snappy and very responsive. This is helpful, since I like to multitask between several applications. Thermals have also been a no-brainer, never run into any issues like throttling or so. Im considering a PCI-E 5.0 NVME as my next upgrade for my laptop. In Samsung I trust!

It's been exceptionally reliable and works great as a game drive in my Windows 11 Workstation. Temperatures and throughput remain consistent while using one of the high mass heatsinks provided with my motherboard. I would recommend the drive, but that recommendation comes with ignoring current prices.

I have used it originally for an ROG Ally and eventually after 3 machines later it made it into its final home in my custom PC!! Samsung provides a great software interface that helps you monitor and maintain its health and functionality while also making the software very suer friendly and pleasing to look at! This SSD NVME is fast and I'm happy to say I've played many games on it and it has survived many drops! Thermals are great because the ROG ally X runs very hot and I've had this for about 2 years now!

Performance has remained fast and consistent, and I haven’t had any issues with it during normal use or gaming. I recently started using the Samsung Magician app as well, which made it easy to check the drive’s health, temperature, firmware, and overall status. After more than two years of use, the drive is still showing excellent health, which gives me a lot of confidence in its endurance and long-term reliability. Overall, I’m very happy with the 990 PRO. It has been fast, dependable, and has held up extremely well over time. I would definitely buy another Samsung SSD in the future.

From the moment I cloned my OS and started heavy workloads, the read and write speeds blew me away. Hitting close to the advertised 7,450 MB/s read and 6,900 MB/s write speeds in daily benchmarks is incredible. Boot times are essentially instantaneous, file transfers of 50GB+ take just seconds, and game load times have practically disappeared. It completely saturates the PCIe 4.0 interface in the best possible way. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fast ssd storage. I have 20tb of Samsung ssd nvme storage in my new pc (5 drives). Haven't had a problem with it. It transfers reads and writes fast with no issues. I bought it so it would not bottleneck my new CPU hardware. For my OS drive I bought the 990 pro and for my secondary drives I bought the 990 evo's. I haven't done an exact test for read write speeds but I would say they are as advertised. Also prices at the time for these drives were good. Mainly bought the drives for video editing, but I also record music and do some gaming. Works great.

Throughput: It instantly maxes out the speed limits of my external enclosure. Large file transfers like 4K video footage and huge photo libraries copy over in seconds. Latency: Access times are virtually non-existent. Launching applications and editing projects directly off the drive feels just as fast as using an internal drive.
