About the Author

British writer James Robinson made a name for himself in the late 1980s with several indie series before getting enthusiastic reviews for his work on DC series Starman, Justice Society of America and Superman. For Marvel, he has scripted Generation X, Fantastic Four and All-New Invaders. He has written several feature-film screenplays - including the adaptation of the comic book The League of Extraordinary Gentleman - and directed Comic Book Villains, which he also wrote.

Brazilian native Marco Rudy has illustrated the miniseries Final Crisis Aftermath: Escape and The Shield for DC Comics, as well as the New 52 relaunch of Swamp Thing with writer Scott Snyder. He has also drawn issues of Superboy and Superman/Batman. For Marvel, Rudy drew Marvel Knights: Spider-Man and Bucky Barnes: The Winter Soldier.

The late artist Steve Dillon had his first paying work at age 16 for the UK-based Hulk Weekly magazine. Like many of his British contemporaries, Dillon honed his skills on the legendary 2000AD. In 1993, Dillon joined writer Garth Ennis on DC/Vertigo's Hellblazer. Their work earned overwhelming praise from the title's devoted fan base and led to a second collaboration on Preacher, which earned an "A" grade from Entertainment Weekly and was later turned into a TV series on AMC. After Preacher's 66-issue run, Dillon again teamed with Ennis on a revival of Marvel's classic antihero, Punisher. Dillon later illustrated Daniel Way's Wolverine: Origins, Ennis' Punisher: War Zone, Mark Millar's Ultimate Avengers and Jason Aaron's PunisherMAX. Dillon again drew Frank Castle for Marvel NOW! in the relaunched Thunderbolts and later in All-New, All-Different Marvel's The Punisher.

Chris Visions has worked in the fields of graphic design, game design, storyboarding and illustration since 2006. As a comics artist, he has illustrated BOOM! Studios' Dead Letters. His work is becoming increasingly recognizable to Marvel readers following contributions to titles including Scarlet Witch, Civil War II: Choosing Sides and Spider-Gwen.

A comics artist since the late '90s, Javier Pulido has impressed readers with his graphic style and compelling storytelling on titles such as Amazing Spider-Man, Hawkeye and She-Hulk.

After graduating in Law and Information Sciences at Paris University, Marguerite Sauvage became an illustrator in 2001 working in advertising, magazines, and publishing. In 2008, she began working in the animation industry as a concept artist and script writer, as well as drawing for European bande dessinée. In 2014, her work was spotted by Vertigo and she started a career in North American comics with covers for Hinterkind. She debuted sequential art on Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman and then initiated the "DC Bombshells" series with Margaret Bennet in August 2015. Since then, her work can be found at Marvel (Scarlet Witch, Secret Wars, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, 1602: Witch Hunter Angela, Captain America), Dark Horse (Zodiac Starforce), Image (Wayward, The Wicked + The Divine), Dynamite (Red Sonja), Valiant (Faith), Oni and DC Comics.

While working as a professor at the prestigious Savannah College of Art and Design, Shawn Crystal has contributed art to a variety of comics projects -- including Birds of Prey Secret Files, Resident Evil: Fire and Ice, Negative Burn and the comic adaptation of the hit TV show Chuck.

Mike Perkins is an illustrator for Marvel Comics having previously worked on Captain America, X-Men and Thor. After wrapping up the 31-issue adaptation of Stephen King's The Stand, he went on to illustrate Astonishing X-Men. Perkins has been nominated numerous times for Eisner and Harvey Awards and, as well as winning the Eagle Award, counts being on the New York Times Best-Seller List among his career achievements.
