About the Author

Dr. Nina Gogate is Assistant Professor and Coordinator (French) at the School Of Language, Literature and Culture Studies at Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University Nanded, Maharashtra, India. Her doctoral thesis, titled "Postcolonial Women's Writing in Translation: Language, Ideology, Culture", focused on the translation of postcolonial Indian English writers and Algerian Francophone writers into Western context. Her areas of interest lie in the translation and interpretation of women's writing, fiction, travelogues and non-fiction. She has also translated various short stories and poems from Marathi to English to French as well as from French to Marathi.
