My favorite soy milk!
My go-to soy milk! It’s sweet but not too sweet. I use it to make pancakes, lemon cake, and as a creamer for my coffee. I’ve used it for cereal, smoothies, and to make my vegan ice cream! Its SUPER creamy and isn’t watery. I am lactose intolerant and this has been the best alternative in terms of flavor, texture, and quality! I am a cook and do experiment with vegetarian/vegan milks to add texture, flavor, and depth. This is great for baking but wouldn’t use it for savory foods as it alters the overall flavor of any sauces due to the sweetness.

Delicious plant based milk
The flavor is great, a nice sweet milk that’s god with cereal and can be used as an easy dairy free alternative when baking. Love the easy to use packaging and storage of this milk as well.

New version is a big fail
This new red box version of the Vanilla Soy milk is a big fail. It is thinner, less creamy tasting and therefore has a bad mouth feel. Trying to find another brand now that tastes as delicious the former version. Wish the manufacturer would bring back the former version.

Organic Unsweetened is the best
Best nondairy milk there is. Flavor is excellent. Right now there is an availability problem. Hope it's "only" a supply chain issue and will be resolved soon.

Creating carton garbage!
My family goes through 4 unsweetened silk soy milk cartons a week and we love it. My only concern is the carton is not widely recyclable...our little mountain town being an example. I am wondering if Silk has considered any alternatives to this garbage problem?

Silk’s parent company, Danone North America, recognizes that there is a huge issue around packaging and plastic waste, and we are working hard to improve the environmental impacts of our packaging. You can learn more about our company’s global packaging sustainability goals as part of our Danone Impact Journey: https://www.danone.com/about-danone/sustainable-value-creation/danone-impact-journey.html While today more than three-quarters of our packaging by weight is recyclable, by 2030 we are aiming to use 100% reusable, recyclable, or compostable packaging. We’re also working to reduce our use of virgin-fossil-based plastic packaging, by increasing the use of post-consumer recycled materials, and plastic alternatives. Danone is also working to support the development of effective collection systems for plastic packaging. In the US, we’ve invested millions of dollars with groups including Closed Loop Partners and The Recycling Partnership to fund advancements in our nation’s recycling systems. Our cartons are made of about 80% paper, along with layers of plastic film to ensure product protection and freshness. For non-pull rings, as you turn the cap, you may hear a crack and then a pop, which indicates the foil security seal underneath is opening. These cartons are widely recyclable in most communities. Check www.RecycleCartons.com to see if you can recycle these packages in your community. - Jack at Silk

Surprisingly Good for a Soy Milk
This was surprisingly good for soy milk. The added vanilla flavor is light and not overpowering. Smooth texture. Good price for amount packaged.

Organic unsweetened Silk soy milk doesn't froth
I'll never buy this again! Is there anything I can add to it, like aquafaba?
1 reply from Danone team - 22 days ago
Thank you for taking the time to review our Organic Unsweet Soymilk! Many consumers have a great outcome when it comes to frothing Silk; others may not have the same outcome. After extensive research, we can conclude that frothing isn’t something we produce the product to do. Because there are so many variables when it comes to frothing, we can’t guarantee the product will froth with every batch produced. For this effect, we would recommend our Oat Creamers. We hope this information was helpful and that you continue to enjoy our products. - Jack at Silk

Great milk alternative
Soy milk is one of the best dairy alternatives in my opinion. This option has really high protein per serving and a great taste. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a milk alternative.

Why change?
Not the same taste or consistency anymore. Silk must have changed the formula or quality of ingredients overall.

expired milk
HORRIBLE, the milk was horrible. It had been expired for over a month. I picked my order up on Feb 6th, 2026 and both milks had been expired since December 25th, 2025. Like hello??

Love it but hard to find
I can't stand cow's milk but I love Silk's Organic Unsweetened Soymilk. Unfortunately, it's become extremely difficult to find. The nonorganic is not as good, not as creamy.

Formula change is very sad
I am so so disappointed that the unsweetened Silk soy milk not longer froths. I will no longer be buying it. I can't tolerate a lot of foods but I always tolerated this beverage and it used to bring me great joy in a very frothy late.

Great product gone to... well you know.
Used to love SILK unsweetened. Used it in everything, especially my iced coffees. It WAS the ONLY product on the market that wasn't full of sugar and actually tasted great. Until today. Unknowingly bought the "updated" version in the new carton and was deeply disappointed. Tastes terrible now. Just like all the other no sugar products out there. Wish you guys hadn't changed the recipe. It was great the way it was and stood out above all else. Will no longer be buying.

Delicious and no sugar
The best! Love it in coffee. Silk seems to be the only unsweetened version of soy milk I can find. So much better tasting to me than almond and oat. I don't buy almond and oat since they are too low protien. I hope Silk never stops making this. Why did they make the carton almost the same color as their coconut though??
