I've never had a drone before and this one was cheap enough for me to try. It comes with a nice little bag to carry it around in, and a couple spare parts in case you break some of the blades it uses to fly with. I haven't had to use them yet, but I'm sure if someone crashes they would need it. Upon first looking at it and feeling it it does seem like it would be a toy. It's not very heavy, but I suppose that's necessary for a machine that's supposed to fly around. If you're just trying to fly it around without any camera assist, the remote will control it just fine. Left stick is up and down along with spinning the front of the drone left to right. Right stick tells the drone to go forward, backwards, drift left, or drift right. This is "tank controls" for anyone who's familiar with the phrase. The package comes with two battery packs, which is very useful because when fully charged they only last about 15 minutes a pop. That being said, both of them together gives you a good half an hour. That's should be enough time to satiate your desire to fly it around. I know I had a lot of fun using it and it's a much better remote control airplane than anything I had as a kid. If you want to use the camera in the front of the drone, you will need to download their app and connect it with your phone. On top of that, if you plan on recording any kind of video you'll need to buy a microSD card to record video. You will see what the camera in the front of the drone sees from the screen on your phone when using the app. There is a slight delay between what the drone does in real time to what you see on your phone. I think the delay is to be expected, but you'll need to pay attention to your surroundings and not use just the camera display when flying around. When I was flying my drone around there was a slight pull to the right that I had to compensate for using the remote and slightly tilting left so it wouldn't move too much. That could have been due to the winds, and I'm not sure if I'm ever going to have a day where there's no wind conditions to really see if that's the case. All in all, for something that costs about $100 it's definitely something I'd recommend to give yourself some fun. Who knows if you really like it you might end up buying a more expensive drone and testing to see where the limits are. For now this is good enough for me, but maybe I'll get something better in the future and write a different review on that. Hopefully this helps for anyone thinking about buying it.

I was looking for an inexpensive drone that would be easy to use, and the Snaptain S5C Elite has been a good choice. It’s pretty simple to get set up and flying, even if you don’t have much experience with drones. The controls are straightforward and it’s a fun drone to learn on. The camera quality is decent for a drone in this price range. I wouldn’t expect professional-looking video, but it works well for flying around and getting some aerial pictures and video. The Wi-Fi connection and phone app are also a nice feature. Overall, this is a good beginner drone and a lot of fun for the money. For a 1st time drone flyer, it's got a pretty beginner-friendly build. The battery placement on the drone is really easy to get access to. It comes with a 2nd battery and extra wings(?) and bolts in case I need to fix it up. The interesting part I didn't know prior was that I can use a micro SD card to take pictures or videos on the device, though I'm not sure why this is needed if you have to use your phone to watch the camera of the drone (maybe its due to longer distance flying makes for a bigger of a load to transfer image data?). The build is pretty lightweight and folds up really easily so it makes for easy travel too. All in all, I'd say it's a decent device if you're wanting to get into the hobby. Sadly enough, I will be returning mine as I'm not confident enough to fly this thing and not think I'd accidentally chop my fingers off by accident (jk). Pros: * Easy setup * Lots of spare parts (batteries, wings, bolts) * On-device micro SD for instant saving and moving to computer to extract * Camera controls to move up/down * Great portability Cons: * It's got a weird random wire underneath the camera bay, but I'm assuming it's just the antenna for longer distances * (for app) It's got a lot of functionality that's only usable on the app instead of the controller In summary, it's a great little device to get for those getting into the hobby, but it's not for me.

Random, out of control
It started off great, just moving it up and down. Then started moving the camera. Got it in the correct position and I took two pictures and the drone just took off, had to recover it several houses down after it crashed into the side of a house. Started it up again this time may 2-3 feet off the ground again immediately it took off at least the second time it was low to the ground so it landed on its feet. I’m not sure what’s happening but it’s out of control.

The item look faulty when first started, it would drift forward aggressively when first lift up. On the first few minutes of turning it on the item flew away and was lost.

Dont bother or waste tour money
Would not even turn on. Not able to return at Target after the 30 day return period. Purchased extended warranty which won’t start until after the manufacture warranty expires in one year. Manufacture has not responded to 7 calls and emails over the past 3 weeks. Only buy this thing if you want to have a cute toy to sit on your fireplace mantel because it doesn’t work and no support from target, manufacturer, or extended warranty.
