Yayo es un galardonado artista e ilustrador de libros para niños. Dos veces finalista del Premio del Gobernador General de Canadá, ha recibido, entre otras recompensas, el Premio M. Christie y el Premio Charles Biddle. Nativo de Colombia, Yayo vive en Montreal, Quebec.
