About the Author

Elisa Colarossi is a Rome-based illustrator whose artistic career was reignited during the 2020 lockdown, thanks to the whimsical and heartwarming adventures of her black cat, Stanis. Born in 1991 and raised in the Eternal City, she gained widespread attention after her illustrations of Stanis went viral, being featured on platforms like Bored Panda, Esquire, Wanted in Rome, Romeing, and Italia! Magazine. As an illustrator and storyteller, she uses her art not only to entertain but to remind people of the joy that can be found in the simplest things--a message that resonates deeply in our times.

As for the real author, Stanis was born in the bustling streets of Rome and found his human in 2013. He proved since then that he was no ordinary cat, thanks to his knowledge on cozy naps, expertise on windowsill lounging, and more, which he decided to share through the whimsical illustrations of her human. When he is not kneading pasta, Stanis is busy exploring new hobbies and activities, and he loves to spend time with his friends, proving that even the most snuggly cats can lead vibrant lives!
