Not fully compatible with Comcast Business
The modem can be activated and provide internet, but the correct boot file can not be uploaded to the modem and is stuck using default boot file. This greatly limits the speeds the modem is capable of handling. 3 techs and a service rep from Comcast tried and were not able to upload their boot file. The modem also gets hot to the touch.

Get through the setup and your golden
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very surprised by this little powerhouse. I've never tried an alternative modem before and it was an interesting experience. I'm not sure if the nightmare setup was on my Internet providers end or from this product but it was not fun to set up. It is fun sized though. It's such a small and compact size that fits in your hand almost and works just as good as the clunky thing I was previously using. I'm glad I switched. I received an incentive to write this review.

Spectrum can't set it up without a Tech
Brand new, self install doesn't see it. Called support, support doesn't see it. Their website sees it but can't configure it. Shows old modem and old router still configured.

Great modem with awesome performance!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Modem was easy to install and set up. Download speed is the same as our old modem, but our upload speed is four times faster than our old one, which my husband is thrilled about! Runs hot (as is expected), so it should be kept in a well ventilated area. Size is smaller than the palm of my hand. Included setup instructions were easy to follow, even for a novice like me! Straightforward Set Up and Faster Internet Speed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cable modem works great. I decided to give it a try because the modem that we previously had (different brand) we noticed slower internet speed. This modem was easy to set up, with straightforward instructions. It has lights that indicate connection, which will be helpful if we have any issues. This surfboard is compatible with previous generations too. I did notice better internet speed after a couple days of use too. I received an incentive to write this review.

Blazing fast and sleek to look at
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little router is so lightweight and sleek it looks like a work of art on my desk. With minimal setup it works well out of the box. It only comes in white which I like but since the majority of my components are black I would have probably preferred that if they had that as an option. Only a little nitpick though I am still way happy with it. Shipping was very quick and it was packaged very well! I received an incentive to write this review.

Faster, cheaper, better!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Switched to this to stop paying rental fees. I think it’s completely worth it and get even better speeds. Setup took under 10 minutes. Plugged it in activated with my cable provider and it was good to go. I did not experience any drops or disconnecting yet even with multiple devices streaming videos. The only downside is it doesn’t have built in WiFi but you can pair it with your own router. I received an incentive to write this review.

Bring your patience in setting this up!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited for this SURFboard 3.1 cable modem. My current internet/cable service provides a modem for an unreasonable monthly charge and this gave me the opportunity to return that one and now have own. This connected easily to my devices and lit up right away. The tough part is once you download the app to sync it. The app is not user friendly and very glitchy and will definitely test your patience. I received an incentive to write this review.

Great small and sleek modem
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Arris SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem is a fantastic upgrade for anyone looking to streamline their home internet setup. Its compact design, less than half the size of my previous modem, makes it a breeze to fit into any space. Setup was incredibly simple, taking just minutes to get up and running with my ISP. Performance-wise, it delivers reliable, high-speed connectivity that handles streaming, gaming, and multiple devices without a hitch. Highly recommended for its ease of use and impressive performance in a sleek package. I received an incentive to write this review.

Ditch the cable modem rental fees
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The SURFboard S34 DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem produces very fast results. It is pretty future proof. It's much better to have this than to rent from your Internet service provider. It works with Spectrum, Cox, Xfinity and probably other major cable Internet providers. It got me great speeds which helped with streaming and gaming. It is very easy to set up and worked without any issues. I received an incentive to write this review.

Nightmare with xfinity and arris
The modem heats up super fast as ventilation is not good. Causing to impact upload speeds. I have a plan to suport 250 mbps upload speeds but this crappy router only provides 16 mbps. Tired of xfinity and arris. Asking for refund and replacing modem.

Works for faster upload speeds, but can overheat.
The arris S34 works with higher upload speeds, but can overheat if it is not placed in a well ventilated area. This can cause intermittent network issues. Be sure to place it in a space with good air circulation to avoid overheating. The S34, like most Arris products, is reliable and will perform well for years, just watch out for the extra heat that this device generates due to the additional OFDMA channels that are available. Even the coaxial cable will get very warm since this device is constantly on. Setup is easy and will work with xfinity since that is what is available in the area. When it works, it works very well. Be patient if it does not and be sure to work with your isp as needed to get any physical issues with the coaxial cable resolved. Often the problem will be outside the home since the cable is exposed to the elements outside.

S33 vs s34
To answer rwit. The s34 has mid/high split (500mbps/1.7gbps) currently some providers are provisioning for 200mbps on the mid split but non of them have utilized high split yet and probably never will with docsis 4 currently rolling out and planned to have full coverage in 2026. The s33 uses sub-splitting which has a limit of 100mbps upload that most cable companies only provision 10-35 mbps on sub-splitting. So glancing at the quick specs on this page I can see ones confusion when they cant read "Next Generation Upload Speed Optimized" under the features section. That is not present on the s33 features.
