Description

Book Synopsis

The poems in Sweeten it with Salt both comfort and discomfit, stretching us while calling us home to ourselves. Punctured with grief yet fortified by awe and joy, these poems move through love, confusion, and wonder with a fearless lyric intelligence. They invite us to embrace an exhilarating strangeness--to step into a world where beauty refuses to console but insists on being felt. Collectively, they offer a summons into wonder, asking us to arrive just as we are, with all our longing, absurdity, and unsteady hope.
