Since its establishment, Israel has been subjected to two enormous and growing minorities that are essentially anti-Zionist.

Due to fast reproduction rates, these minorities threaten to outnumber Israel's Zionist Jews and will ultimately annul its Zionist nature. The only way to preclude this from happening is to differentiate among these minorities, between the pro-Zionists who will remain nationals and retain the right to vote, and those who will battle the state ideologically and should thus remain only as residents, devoid of their right to abrogate the state.

Raphael Israeli has taught Islamic, Chinese, and Middle Eastern history at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. A graduate of Hebrew University in history and Arabic literature, he earned a Ph.D. in Chinese and Islamic history from the University of California, Berkeley. Now retired, he has been a Fellow of the Harry Truman Research Institute at Hebrew University and the Jerusalem Center since the1970s. He is the author of 111 books and 100 articles.
