i’ve never had cacio e pepe before so i didn’t know what to expect, but it was not good. i tried adding more salt but it didn’t improve the taste at all. it kinda just tastes like cardboard. giving it an extra star since it did have a lot of sauce and the noodles were cooked perfectly.

It's good for what it is.
It's certainly not Italian Resaurant good, but for a frozen dinner, this was not bad. I liked the sauce. I would have preferred a different noodle type, like penne or rigatoni, but i can live with it.

Good flavor, but really grainy in a way that puts you off of it. Also don’t think this pasta shape is the right fit for the sauce. People will try and sell you on “fun” pasta shapes like cavatappi, but spaghetti is the tried and true for a reason.

They changed the packaging...
This was my favorite. It was delicious, and came in a paper compostable bowl. The packaging was easy to open after heating up. Now, the bowl it comes in is plastic, and breaks when you microwave it. Somehow, even the taste isn’t quite the same. Disappointing.
