Description

The Andersons PGF Balanced 10-10-10 Fertilizer is a professional-grade fertilizer with extremely fine particle size for more coverage and even distribution. Each 18 lb bag provides up to 5,000 square feet of coverage. PGF Balanced can be used any time during the growing season but is ideal for spring and fall applications because it contains all quick-release sources of nitrogen, providing the plant with immediate nutrition. PGF Balanced also includes micronutrients and 2% iron for extra-deep greening. This perfectly balanced fertilizer can be used on all types of turfs, gardens and flower beds.

  • A: Thank you for asking your question. The best time to apply 10-10-10 in Ohio is spring and fall. It's a great fertilizer to get your lawn growing from winter dormancy. The elevated phosphorus levels are also ideal for a fall application for preparing your lawn for winter.

great product. . . it's the first product I use in the spring for a wake up for the turf, and then the last thing I use in the late fall for a dose of fast acting nitrogen as the growth slows down and the turf starts to go dormant

Awesome Green Up!

Love this stuff, used it four times this year and my lawn looks the best it ever has and I have the greenest lush lawn in my subdivision. The green up with this product is amazing.

I put down the fertilizer and then watered it. Unfortunately, later that night we got a flooding rain. I am pretty sure all of the fertilizer was washed away. I have not been able to see the benefit nor accurately rate it.

DO A SOIL TEST FIRST

Using 10-10-10- along with Fall Fix 5-5-5 was the result of doing Anderson's soil test. Do that soil test first. After years of just guessing, looking at the hype on some of the products and still getting so-so results, the soil test recommended the proper treatment and now I have fantastic results. Both products worked great. Can't stress the soil testing enough. It will save you a ton of money in the long run also.

PGF Balanced

Grass greened up as expected, had a growth spurt. Bought 2 bags, both bags had solidified pieces of fertilizer. Had to break up by hand in my spreader. First time I’d ever had a bag of fertilizer with clumps. One bag was 50% solid. Are these stored outdoors before they’re shipped?

Great product!
