About the Author

Robert Munsch is the author of more than 25 books for children including "The Paper Bag Princes" and "Stephanie's Ponytail." He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and studied to be a Jesuit priest before deciding to work with children instead. He taught in a variety of nursery schools and daycare centers while he earned an MA in Early Childhood Education. In 1975, Munsch and his wife, Ann, moved to Guelph, Ontario. The Munschs have three children: Julie, Andrew, and Tyya (see them all in "Something Good!").

Michael Martchenko has illustrated over 30 books for children and has exhibited his work throughout North America. He has won numerous awards for design and illustration. He lives with his wife, Patricia, in Toronto.

While the content itself is lovely, I was disappointed by the physical size of the book. It is much smaller than expected and, in my opinion, not ideal for a children’s book. I would encourage future buyers to carefully review the listed dimensions before purchasing.

Tiny book

Description says it’s a 24 page book and I was very surprised when I received a tiny book that fits in the palm of my hand. Measurements need to be add to description and the words are to tiny for the age range of this book.

Fire station book

This book is very tiny in size. Like 2 1/2 inches tall, 2 1/2 inches wide. Would fit in a pocket. Cute but so tiny. Being so small the words are kinda tiny, so if you have trouble with reading smaller print I do not recommend. For the price and size my 4 yr old nephew will enjoy carrying it around I’m sure.
