Book Synopsis
Collapsing bridges, Mafia money men, and corruption collide on the shady side of Montreal's construction industry.
Frannie Murray and her ex-husband, Daniel Marcoux, know how easy it is to get sucked into corruption. Both are civil engineers who face terrifying threats when they try to extricate themselves from a quagmire of kickbacks, political payoffs, and bribes.
Frannie's friend, Stefano Gentile, knows what they are up against. Seemingly a successful accountant, he bears the scars of his years as a Mafia money man. As the three attempt to escape the traps that put their honour and even their lives in jeopardy, they discover secrets that upend what they thought they knew about each other and themselves.
And soon they each come to realize the choices we make can take us to dangerous places.
