About the Author

Dr. John Hutton is a pediatrician, researcher and father. His leading-edge research involves better understanding how reading and digital media ("screen time") affect skills, relationships and brain development during early childhood. He also creates children's books for parenting and health promotion and to measure vital skills for school readiness, such as The Number Farm. He lives with his family in Dallas, TX. Lisa Griffin is an artist, designer and illustrator who works in diverse media to bring stories to life. She has illustrated numerous children's books, including The Reading House and The Number Farm.
