About the Author
Melissa Fallon is a qualified and experienced clinical behaviourist and trainer. She gained her MSc in clinical animal behaviour at the University of Lincoln and has been in the education sector since 2009. Melissa has been teaching canine and feline behaviour and training, working specifically in higher education, as well as being involved in training cats for television. Melissa is also a mother of four humans, four felines and one canine. She is passionate about improving the welfare of felines in our society by understanding their behaviour better, and promoting safe and harmonious relationships between felines, canines and children.
Becky MacFarlane has worked in the education sector for 14 years and gained her MSc in Animal Welfare, Ethics & Law at the University of Edinburgh. She has experience lecturing in animal behaviour, welfare and ethics, more specifically teaching canine and feline specific content. She is also a Trustee for a local feline charity, Band of Rescuers North Yorkshire, and has worked across various feline welfare charities over the last 20 years in varying capacities. Becky is also a mother of five humans, two felines and one canine, and is motivated to ensure harmonious relationships between all parties through promoting the need to understand human-animal interactions and responsible ownership. She has a passion for cats and ensuring they are better understood with regards to their behaviour, welfare and long-term outcomes in society.
