Challenging and rewarding like a favorite work out
I found this guided journal really helpful. It's created by professional psychologists in the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy school. It's easy to follow with easy to understand definitions, examples, and concepts. My 1st journal entry felt helpful by providing me with vocabulary for my emotions and thought patterns, but I still felt that I can talk myself out of a slump even without the journal. By the 2nd entry, it started to feel challenging, because the journal is forcing me to face my own thought processes, regardless of right or wrong, and how they're making myself feel unhappy, and how I can change my own thoughts, not for others, but for myself. Finishing the journal entry felt like a workout and I left feeling better. It's empowering because it lets me take the reigns and vaguely mimics what I was already doing, but in a more structured and intense way. I'm going to continue logging whenever I want to feel better and wonder what new realizations I might have when I fill the notebook.

A Must Have for Modern Life
This is wonderful for processing events objectively and shifting back into a positive neutral state. I will buy this for my parents and best friends. It is very nice to have a process, step by step to evaluate things that happen and see them differently. I move on faster. What a valuable tool for everyone to increase peace and self-awareness.

Good start for self help.
Most important: love the texture and weight of the paper. Next, If therapy isn’t available to you due to cost or time - this is a really good way to break down feelings. Youre able to understand why you might be feeling a way or how it can resonate. The Detailed questions with resource guide to look back on is a major plus. It’s not a substitute for therapy, or maybe even if you’re doing it already, this can be done and then talked with the therapist to understand where the problems lie.

WOW! this is one excellent book!
Should be required reading for everyone! This book outlines negative thoughts and how they affect our self-esteem, relationships, and life. It’s concise, easy to read and has excellent examples. They even have places to journal.
