Review Quotes

"A deeply thoughtful, meticulously written, emotionally fraught novel about the hot-button, inflammatory subject of Second Amendment rights vs gun control. The small, perfectly depicted set of characters are limned in rich detail. We get to know each and every one. Such is Mr. Miner's insight into these people that we find ourselves beside them in every finely-etched scene." --- Eric Van Lustbader, author of The Ninja

Thoughts and Prayers by Robert Miner is a revelation -- a nuanced and deeply intelligent examination of America's gun culture that also happens to be a hang-on-tight thriller. Highly recommended.---- Lou Berney, Edgar Award-winning author of Crooks

"Thoughts and Prayers is a bold and deeply courageous book about the wildly upsetting - and irresistible - topic of guns. Miner has somehow taken our national obsession and turned it into one of the most riveting novels I have read in years."--Sebastian Junger, author of In My Time of Dying and The Perfect Storm

"An admirable dramatization of the power, ambition, and exhilaration of American gun culture with a delicious final twist."--Stephen Markley, author of Ohio and The Deluge
