Time Struck - by Megan Daniels (Hardcover)

Book Synopsis

In this speculative mystery with a romantic twist, one woman must solve her own murder five years in the future, only to find a life she never expected

Andy Harlow might be close to getting her PhD in physics, but she's far from escaping her troubled past. It doesn't help when her estranged sister returns to assist in selling their decaying childhood home--the same place their mother was murdered by their father twenty years earlier.

One night, after investigating a mysterious sound in her parents' sealed off bedroom, Andy is shoved into the closet by a stranger.

She lands five years in the future, where everything has changed. Here, Andy has a dream job as a professor. A sister who has mended the broken bond between them. A baby daughter she loves the way only a mother can. And a husband, Logan, a man she has never met, yet who seems to know every corner of her heart. It's a life she never imagined she could have--until now.

There's just one problem. In this future, Andy was recently murdered. And someone pushed her here so she could find out who did it and why.

To change her fate, Andy must solve the mystery of her death and uncover long-buried family secrets before returning to her time. But the more she uncovers, the more impossible her choice becomes: save her future or save her life.

Review Quotes

"Rarely can a book do it all--suspense, romance, a perfectly conceived speculative element--and yet that's exactly what Daniels achieves in her stop-in-your-tracks, read-in-one-sitting debut. A dazzling novel about the risks of knowing your future and honoring your past, Time Struck is a smart, blistering mystery with a grounded, tender heart. The resulting blend of speculative, propulsive, and heartwarming is so original it's easy to say readers of Taylor Jenkins Reid, Rebecca Serle, and Gillian McAllister will all find themselves hooked."--Katy Hays, New York Times bestselling author of Saltwater and The Cloisters

"Time Struck is a bittersweet symphony of suspense and longing--a genre-bending mystery that pits morality against fate, and desire against duty.
