Known for his work ethic, competitiveness, and skill, Kobe led the Lakers to five NBA championships and earned 18 All-Star selections and the 2008 NBA MVP Award. He supported youth sports and education, and after retiring, won an Academy Award for his short film "Dear Basketball" in 2018. Kobe and his daughter Gianna tragically died in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020. His legacy inspires countless young athletes worldwide.
