Q: I can see that the upholstered headboard stops where the mattress starts. Is that only the case when using a full width box spring? I will be using a low profile 2.5” (or maximum 4”) box spring, does the tufted area still covers the headboard enough?

submitted by Liz - 6 years ago
  • A: For our wingback beds there are approximately 20” between the metal frame and the bottom of the headboard. You’ll want to fill this space with your mattress and box spring combination.

  • A: Hello Liz, Skyline Furniture recommends a 9" box spring with an 11" mattress for use with this bed. This will ensure that there is no gap between the headboard and the mattress.
