Until the World Falls Down - by Jordan Lynde (Paperback)

I don't have words to describe how good this book is. Yes, it's smut forward (and the smut is freaking amazing. I was getting tired of reading what seemed like copy-pasted smut scenes between books, but wow this was a breath of fresh air. The shadows.....hot) but the plot is also absolutely heartbreaking and amazing. Literally, my heart broke and was repaired multiple times throughout the book. Sobbed the last 25%. Nell is such a realistic fmc to me. Her pain, her trauma. I sometimes had to take a break because it was too real. Wanting love so desperately, being afraid to have it. Being betrayed. I wanted to hug her. I'm happy Enver got to instead lol. And speaking of Enver... you will never find a shadow daddy who shadow daddies THIS HARD. I'm not kidding. What he does with his shadows. How he speaks. How he acts. Omg. Chef kiss. This book changed my life. I was not expecting it at all, but it's become one of my favorite books ever. PICK THIS BOOK UP. GIVE IT A CHANCE. If smut isn't your thing, still, don't let the first few chapters put you off!!! The story is so worth it. But also there are such sweet things included in the smut, I wouldn't say skip it. A lot of Nell's insecurity comes from s*x, and that's why so much smut works so well. And Enver literally can only feel lust when they meet.

My biggest regret is that I didn't read a sample first. There's only one other book in my life that I've DNF'D as quickly as this cringe fest. The characters are just dumb and the whole plot just feels fake and unbelievable. The FMC is just this desperate, naive, sexually oppressed, immature young woman parading as a damsel-in-distress who has the personality of a pudding cup. If the time I've taken to write my review can save even one person from wasting their own time and money on this book, it will have been time well-spent!

This book is absolutely amazing. It’s a great story that gives beauty and the beast and labyrinth vibes!! There is some 🌶️ in this book but the connections and relationship between the 2 main characters is so good and balanced that it doesn’t feel out of place. I read this on my kindle before the paperback release and I’m so happy the author was about to bring such a beautiful book straight to my local store !! Don’t miss out on this!
