You get what you pay for, and this STILL wasn't worth the price
Very flimsy. In order to adjust the stand up/down/forward/backward, or fold the stand shut, the screws have to be somewhat loose. But when the screws are loose, the stand will not hold the weight of a coaster, much less a laptop. The base of the stand is also not heavy enough, so even if you tighten all the screws, it's easy to tip over if it gets even slightly unbalanced.

Works as it should
Stand works how it should if you set it up correctly with the Allen wrench. It’s not hard to adjust. Once adjusted the stand doesn’t move and supports my work laptop which is heavier than my MacBook. You will still be able to rotate. It will do its job and it was only 10$ for the price it’s decent. Maybe instructions in the box would help some of the confused.

Works with large laptop, with adjuments
I have a larger developer style laptop from work. It fits on the stand open when adjusted correct for the weight. The adjustment tool it comes with helps. But you have to turn the whole base for balance depending on the angle and weight distribution.

Even with tightening and loosening it it never was leveled and therefore my laptop was always lopsided. And then I tried loosening it again and the acrylic cracked and it’s no longer usable. And I’ve only had it for a month or so

ok. needs some reinforcement.
It's actually surprisingly sturdy...but getting the perfect angle is a challenge regardless of weight or size. I have a Macbook Air, and it acts like i have a cynderblock on top of it. I ended up breaking it at the rotasting bottom part which was a nice feature, but spilled milk. I super-glued that sucker back together tho...wasn't wasting my money. Still works.

Full disclosure, this takes some patience. It does exactly what it says it does; however, it takes some tightening, loosening, and adjusting to get it just right. It does take some trial and error. This is a super cute $10 device stand, and that is what you are getting. If you are looking for something super solid that won't move an inch, this is not that. If you are looking for a cute desk accessory that WILL hold your laptop or tablet (given some patience) for $10 then this is it.
