@teachingfromtheheartland Last weekend, I had a relaxing time at the lake... But of course I couldn't completely take time off from BTS prep. 😉 I took some time to read through a few potential read alouds for this year. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this one! It is based on a true story about a wolf who has to survive after his whole pack is killed. I love using books written from an animal's perspective to practice inferencing! For example, the wolf refers to roads as black rivers. Students will naturally start to make these inferences using context clues and their knowledge!
