Our new favorite bacon
What impressed us first was the consistency of the thick cut. Other bacons say thick cut but it is always paper thin when you work your way through the bacon, every slice was perfectly cut and the flavor is amazing. My husband noticed the difference when I was frying it, he said the aroma was making his mouth water.

BEST bacon EVER
We bake in oven at 375 for about 25 minutes. Foil lined cookie sheet with parchment over that. NO bacon we have ever had in our 50+ years of serious searching, can match the flavor of Wright brand Applewood Smoked Thick Cut bacon!

Quality went down hill.
Quality has gone down hill, I always splurge on this bacon because it used to be the best! Not anymore! The last several purchases of this bacon has been mediocre quality, too chewy and overall flavor has plummeted. Bummer, just like everything else nowadays you guys followed suit. Shame.

Thick sliced is thin sliced.
As more often than not, our family loves this thick sliced bacon even at the its higher price. This last purchase however, more than half of the bacon was very very thin sliced. I could have purchased traditional bacon at quality level but rather have Wright Applewood thick slice. You got to do better.

Expired bacon beware
Bought this on April 20, cooked and ate the bacon but it tasted terrible, we thought it was just the new brand. Then we discovered the expiration date of March 21. Target needs to do a better job of removing expired product. Totally gross!

We have been lovers of Applewood Thick Cut smoked Bacon for many years. The package says Thick Sliced bacon however when I open the package It is thin sliced and not meaty. It has become so thin that it falls apart when turning. Your Company is following the way of a lot of companies, Less product for More money!

I have tried many of the chef recommended bacon out of places like Tennessee, etc. They are basically jerky. Wright Brand-Applewood Smoked Bacon is hands down the best bacon ever. No ifs, ands, or buts. Oven baked to medium is sheer bacon bliss.

Applewood Thick Cut Bacon has changed recently
I’ve always paid a premium for Wrights applewood thick cut bacon because of the flavor and crispiness. Over the last 3 months we have purchased this bacon 2 different times from Sam’s Club. It was 90% fat and the meat tasted like beef jerky. It’s been tough to even chew. Very disappointed after being a life long fan.

Thought I would splurge, so I got the applewood smoked bacon, 24 ounce, nothing but fat, I only cooked the first three slices, they were only fat, thought it would get better in the pack, it didn’t, it was 24 ounces of fat, you should be ashamed

Applewood Bacon
I have always been a big fan of your Applewood Bacon. However the last couple times I’ve purchased it it has been so fatty and tuff to eat. Wrights Applewood Bacon is not the cheapest bacon to buy but because of its taste in the past it has not been a problem if you want decent bacon. I am disappointed and will probably not be buying it again.
