Review Quotes
""Your Intelligence Makeover" is a fascinating book that helps the reader focus on learning in a more effective manner. By strengthening our reading, memory, writing, and speaking skills, Ed Droge shows how we can achieve a richer, fuller life."
-- William Ferris, former chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities and current Joel R. Williamson Eminent Professor of History, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
"Edward Droge's "Your Intelligence Makeover" is an engaging book, a kind of hybrid between the "McGuffey's Readers" and E. D. Hirsch's "Cultural Literacy." Great tips on raising reading speed and comprehension, on mnemonic devices to aid one in remembering details, and the like, balanced by executive summaries of knowledge across a wide expanse of topics. The intelligence quizzes are worth the price of the book, just to take to gatherings to test your friends."
-- Patrick F. Bassett, president, National Association of Independent Schools
"In this day of materialism, it is refreshing to have someone call for developing the mind, rather than showing how to increase one's possessions. The book should be read -- and its suggestions put to use."
-- Roger Hull, president, Union College
"This book is a great way to get smarter -- think of it as Miracle-Gro for your brain."
-- A. J. Jacobs, author of "The Know-It-All"
