Cover fabrics are commonly 100% polyester. Fillings vary by set and can include 100% polyester fiber, PP cotton with crumb foam, a 50% foam/50% polyethylene blend, or polypropylene cotton.

Many outdoor 3-piece cushion sets include water-resistant or weather-resistant covers, and some are treated to resist UV exposure and fading to help preserve color outdoors.

Dimensions vary by model. Seat cushions commonly range from about 40.6" x 22.8" x 3.9" up to 47.2" x 31.5" x 4.7". Back cushions typically fall around 37.4" x 11.8" x 3.9" up to 47.2" x 15.7" x 4.7". Side cushions appear in sizes such as 22.8" x 11.8" x 3.9" and 27.6" x 15.7" x 4.7".

Seat cushion thickness commonly ranges from about 3.9 inches up to 4.7 inches across available 3-piece sets.

Common features include sewn seams for the covers plus straps or ties on some cushions (or straps for swing cushions) that secure them to furniture and help prevent slipping.
