Boxed note card sets are offered in a variety of quantities — commonly small sets of 10–12, mid packs around 36–48, large bulk sets like 96, and very large display packs such as 115 cards.
Many sets use mid-to-heavy card stock — examples in product descriptions include 220 grams per square meter and 250 gsm — with finishes such as matte surfaces; envelopes are often printed rather than treated as a finish.
Most boxed sets include the cards plus matching envelopes, and many are packaged in a card box or decorative storage box for organization.
Sets may include blank-inside cards for personal messages, packs with preprinted greetings such as "happy birthday" or "thank you," or display-style cards that feature inspirational quotations.
Some boxed card sets are printed on FSC®-Mix Certified paper, use soy inks on chlorine-free paper, and are described as recyclable in the product details.
