Q: Are they black inside? Do you have to write with a white marker? Does anyone have any recommendations/links to a marker that would work?

A: They are white inside (and also blank). I received 50 cards in my box, not 24-count as marked. The envelopes provided are extremely thin and cheap, but the card is nice.
