Plates in this collection are made from stoneware, porcelain, and earthenware.
They’re presented for salads, appetizers, sandwiches and sides, desserts, smaller luncheon meals, and full holiday entrees (for example, roast turkey).
Generally, 8" plates are used for salads, appetizers, desserts or small mains; 9" plates are described as luncheon/salad plates suitable for sandwiches, sides and desserts; and 10" plates are intended for full entrees and holiday dinners.
At least one set is labeled "Made in England" (the 8" earthenware set); most other listings do not clearly specify country of origin.
Collector and gift-focused items are marketed as decorative keepsakes with exclusive or annual scene designs, nostalgic storybook scenes, and explicit "collector" or "gift-worthy" labeling.
