city names on canvas

Many city-name canvases arrive ready to hang, either with hanging hardware or designed for hardware-free mounting. Others are gallery-wrapped (canvas stretched over a wooden stretcher) or pre-mounted in frames so they can be hung or simply leaned without additional installation.
Common themes include typographic and text-based maps that highlight city names, city montages that combine names with landmarks, landmark illustrations (for example, bridges), and map-focused artwork that emphasizes city labeling.
Both options are common: some pieces come framed (including floating-box frames) while others are sold as unframed gallery-style canvases meant to be displayed as-is or placed in a frame later.
Weights in listings range from about 2 to 7 pounds. Construction is typically hand-stretched canvas over a wooden stretcher frame, prepared as a gallery wrap, or mounted into a frame for framed variants.
