Coax wall plates commonly use nickel-plated female F-type (F81) connectors. Some product listings specify support up to 3 GHz and reference F81 barrel connectors for termination.

Low-voltage mounting brackets are adjustable to fit a range of wall thicknesses. Listings commonly specify a fit range from about 1/4" to 1" thick for both 1-gang and 3-gang brackets.

Many wall plates and blank covers include matching or color-matched mounting screws. Some coax wall plate packages also include a low-voltage mounting bracket in the box.

Recessed pass-through plates provide a finished opening behind a flat-panel TV or A/V equipment so multiple low-voltage cables can be routed through the wall, keeping cords hidden and organized.
