Most deco foil transfer sheets are made from PET (polyethylene terephthalate). Some product descriptions list a blend of PET and wood pulp.
They’re suitable for hot stamping and decoration on paper, leather, and fabric — essentially any clean surface that will accept a heat-activated foil transfer.
A typical process: print the design (often with a laser printer) or position the foil, place the foil face-down over the design, apply high-temperature heat and pressure with a hot-stamping/sealing machine, then peel away the backing to leave the foil on the surface.
They create bright, glossy finishes with metallic or satin effects and a reflective sheen that changes with light.
Most deco foil transfer sheets are not self-adhesive. They are typically bonded to a surface via hot stamping/heat transfer — after pressing the foil onto the substrate it is described as having strong, durable adhesion. Where heat transfer isn’t used, product descriptions also note that glue can be used to attach the foil material.
Descriptions recommend using a sealing machine or hot-stamping press. Typical hot-stamping temperatures mentioned are in the range of about 90–150 °C.

They are described as highly durable with strong adhesion after transfer. Sheets made from PET (or PET combined with wood pulp) are reported to resist wrinkling and fading.
