Handheld erasers are sold in small multi-packs and bulk sets. Common quantities include 2, 3, 4, 5 and larger novelty packs up to 24.
They’re used for whiteboard cleaning, erasing pencil and colored-pencil marks on paper, and multi-surface household cleaning tasks such as removing marks from walls, bathtubs, counters and ovens.
Use them with water: wet and squeeze to create suds, then rub the eraser over the surface to clean. Many product descriptions note they clean effectively with water alone.
Some manufacturers advise against using sponge-style cleaning erasers on copper, polished (high-gloss) surfaces and unfinished or plain wood.
Sizes vary from small block erasers (about 1" high × 2.5" wide × 0.5" deep) up to larger cleaning pads (about 7.48–7.51" high × 5.43–5.46" wide × 1.26–1.92" deep).
