long pendant lights for high ceilings

Many long pendant lights are sold with adjustable hanging heights and list a maximum drop suitable for high ceilings. In the sample listings the maximum hanging heights range from about 66.2 inches up to 117.12 inches; some listings also provide minimum hanging heights for shallower drops. Check each product’s maximum and minimum hanging height and whether downrods, cables, or chains are adjustable to confirm fit for your ceiling.

Long pendant lights use a mix of bulb connections: standard Edison medium screw base (E26), candelabra screw base (E12), GU10 twist-lock bases, and some models include non-removable integrated LED modules. Check the product listing to confirm the exact base or whether the LEDs are integrated and non-replaceable.

Most long pendant fixtures note “Adult Assembly Required” and require hardwiring for installation. Some listings indicate that tools are provided or that no extra tools are needed, while others recommend professional electrical installation. Verify the product’s assembly instructions and whether it’s listed as hardwired or plug-in before purchase.

Some pendants include LED bulbs or feature integrated, non-removable LED modules; others explicitly state that bulbs are not included. The sample listings include fixtures that come with multiple LED bulbs and at least one with built-in LEDs. Always check the product details to confirm whether bulbs are included or are integrated.

Many long pendant fixtures advertise adjustable hanging heights and provide cord, downrod, or cable lengths for customization. Examples include models with adjustable downrods or cables and stated cable lengths. At least one listing specifies a fixed hanging height—check each product to confirm whether the suspension is adjustable or fixed.

Pendant shades and bodies in these listings are made from a variety of materials, including metal, glass, steel, wood, and crystal. Some fixtures pair metal or steel bodies with glass or wood shades, while others include crystal components—confirm materials on the product page for finish and care details.

Socket counts vary widely across the listings, ranging from single-socket pendants up to large multi-socket chandeliers. The sample range spans 1 up to 30 sockets—check the product specifications to confirm the exact socket count for each fixture.

Listings include industry certifications such as ETL Listed and UL Listed; one listing also mentions cETLus approval, and at least one entry explicitly notes no certifications. Always check the product page for the exact certification and whether it meets your local code requirements.
