Threshold tableware is made from several materials: stoneware; copolyester (clear plastic/acrylic drinkware); melamine; and 100% recycled glass.

A typical Threshold dinnerware set includes dinner plates, salad plates, and cereal bowls sized as a service for four. A common example is a 12-piece set with four dinner plates, four salad plates, and four cereal bowls.

Threshold short tumblers and glass tumblers commonly range around 12–14 ounces, while Threshold stoneware mugs are typically about 15–16 ounces.

Some Threshold items are labeled BPA-free. At least one stoneware set is listed as lead-free, and several glass tumblers are specified as made from 100% recycled glass.

Common sizes include a 10-inch dinner plate and an 8-inch salad plate. Cereal bowls in sets are often listed by capacity (for example, a 24-ounce cereal bowl).

Threshold glass tumblers and old-fashioned glasses are often described as having a slightly curved or rounded bottom, vintage/old-fashioned styling, subtle green hues or a frosted finish, and an overall simple, classic silhouette.
