Many garlands include a flexible or bendable wire core or a wrapped center and often come with metal hooks or attachment points so you can shape and secure them around mantels, banisters, or doorways.

They’re commonly draped over mantels and banisters, hung above doors or windows, used as table or centerpiece accents, wrapped around trees, or laid on tabletops.

These garlands are very light — examples list weights around 0.5–0.52 lb (about half a pound) or slightly under.

Power options include plug-in pre-lit cords and battery-powered packs (often using AA batteries). Some battery models include an on/off switch and built-in timers for automatic shutoff.

Light counts vary widely: small micro-LED strings (~20 bulbs), mid-size strings (~50–100 LEDs), and large commercial-style garlands with several hundred LEDs (examples list up to 450).

Many are described as reusable and built from durable materials like PE/PVC or sturdy construction. Some pre-lit garlands note UL certification, replaceable bulbs, or fire-resistant needles to support longer seasonal use.
