Bacati was born simply from one dad’s frustration with his newborn son’s skin irritation from his crib bedding. Deepak couldn’t understand how they could design crib bedding that didn’t account for the delicate nature of a newborn's skin. And as he began to dig deeper, he was troubled by the ingredients of the fabrics used so widely among baby bedding brands. Deepak wasn’t a bedding designer, he was an engineer. But he set out like any other engineer, determined to solve the problem at hand within the parameters he had set. How could he design high-quality, all-natural, usable, baby bedding that he could feel good about putting against his son’s sensitive skin, and all at a great value? Deepak relied on his unrelenting focus to detail and support from his extended family to build Bacati to where it is today. What was initially just for his own family, has turned into a commitment to designing for all the world’s families. Every detail of the product from sourcing of fabrics, design, manufacturing and shipping is all done within the family run business and with a critical eye on the product’s impact on families and our planet. We are committed to using sustainable and safe fabrics for baby’s skin and we’re proud to be able to offer them at such a great value. Most of our products are manufactured in India with exceptionally fine workmanship and attention to detail. We use the best fabrics available in the market. We use 100 percent cotton percale fabrics as well as 100 percent cotton muslin fabrics designed by our esteemed experience designers.
