L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Original Volume Building Carbon Black Mascara is uniquely formulated to resist clumping, keep lashes soft, and build lashes up to 5x their natural thickness. Volume Maximizing Brush quickly thickens and builds lashes evenly for a full and bold look. Contains Panthenol and Ceramide-R and helps protect and condition lashes. Washable mascara resists clumping and flaking, and leaves lashes supple and soft to the touch.

The new formula is HORRIBLE!
OMG! It has been my favorite mascara for over 15 years! And now? THEY CHANGED THE FORMULA! WHY? I LOVED this product so much! This is really disappointing! It’s not the original one anymore! Why would they change an amazing product? I lost all my lashes since using this new formula! It’s sticky and impossible to remove even with makeup remover! It pulls out all your lashes! DON’T BUY! DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

BURNING EYES!
I am so bummed about this. I’ve been struggling with dry and burning eyes for months now- have been tracking my cycle and went to the Dr to figure out what vitamins to take etc- I didn’t even think about it being the mascara I was wearing daily because I’ve been using this exact one since I was a teenager. I haven’t wore makeup all week and my eyes were finally normal - still didn’t equate it to the mascara till I put some on today and the burning started after an hour. I went to the reviews and saw the formula changed and a few others have complained about eye irritation. There’s definitely something wrong with this mascara!

I was disappointed by the color. I really wanted the vibrant color shown on the packaging, but it ended up being very dull. Unless you’re in bright light, this mascara just looks black. Even in bright light, you’d only really notice it if you were looking for it.

This Voluminous Original in Black 305 is very hard to get off the eyelashes. I just opened a brand new tube, and the performance is abysmal: no volume whatsoever. Ideally, I’d like to send it back to L’Oreal, because they should be the ones responsible for recycling this hot mess. Never again.

New formula?
I do not like this new formula. I have been using this mascara since I first learned to wear makeup and I am now 43. I never had one problem with it. I had consistently beautiful full lashes with this mascara and now I have smudges under my eyes after a few hours every time I use it. I'm so sad that the formula has changed because it's the only mascara I have like enough to use repeatedly since I was a kid. I've tried other things here and there over the years but nothing held a candle to this. Please bring back the original formula. Just make different editions that people can try out if they want to, in addition to the original formula PLEASE.

I've used this mascara for 20 years. Why does everyone change a good thing? It's clumps now and is hard to wash off. Please go back to the old formula.

Pretty disappointed
I got the burgundy one… does it give volume? Sure. Can u tell it’s burgundy? No. And that was my whole reason of getting it. My lashes already are big and bold so I wanted the COLOR. But yeah.. it gives length and volume if that’s what you want.

Very pleased
I am very, very happy with this. My lashes look perfect. Fluffy, defined, and fanned out. I don't notice quite as much irritation from this mascara as I do some others. However, when I try to remove this, I sometimes lose lashes, and that is concerning. I wish there were a way to mitigate this. This mascara is also easy to apply, and that's a very important factor when I choose a mascara.
