Q: I doubt that u can answer my ? (It's more rhetorical) but I used to love these until the nutrition amts. were listed on the back; why is there so much total fat, sat. fat, sodium in their products?

  • A: Most of the fat comes from the crust. I like the pot pies but don’t eat all of the crust because of that.

The chicken pot pies have been a staple for many guests, offering a comforting meal option that is easy to prepare. While some guests have noted a decline in quality, particularly with the chicken texture and filling, others still appreciate the flaky crust and hearty flavors. The convenience of having a quick meal ready from the freezer is a significant draw, making it a popular choice for busy individuals or families.

    Quality gone

The chicken pot pies have been changed. Rubbery chicken and rubbery crust. Gravy was so thin, it looked like milk. Used to be a fan, but will not buy this again. 😒

    Quick and easy to make!

I bought these for my kids, they felt they were okay. They ate them. They’re super easy to make and I think they taste even better when you brush some melted butter on the top of them fresh out the oven after cooking them about 5 mins over the suggested cook time!! Definitely try them out! I think they’re great!

    So disappointed!

These chicken pot pie’s used to be so good. They had big chunks of real chicken and were very close to homemade. Now they are dry, bland and the chicken is ground and pressed back together with the texture like a rubbery sponge. Horrible!!! Please do better Marie Callender.

I bought a chicken pot pie and was so excited to dig into it. It's one of my comfort foods. What happened? Like every other company, skimping on ingredients. All crust! I had 4 pieces of chicken, a 🥕 or two, about 5 peas, and a gross crust. I miss the old pie! You should really change the picture on the box. Nothing like it. Used to be. A lawsuit waiting to happen. So disappointed!

    Broken chicken pot pies, gross.

What happened? I bought chicken pot pies a few months ago, perfect, the latest ones are garbage. The sauce is absent, they microwave to dryness, the chicken is minimal. They're not worth buying anymore.

    Disappointed

The pot pies are absolutely horrible. They used to be great now they are tasteless. I have now switched to banquet pot pies. They should be ashamed of themselves. Why ruin a good thing. Sometimes change is no good.

Go back to the old recipe

This use to be my go-to pot pie, but for some unknown reason you have changed the recipe. It can longer be cooked in a microwave, if it is cooked in a microwave the crust is doughy. I cooked one in the oven, and the crust was done however it is was not flakey and buttery but hard and tasteless. The filling is now watery and bland. Please change the recipe back

Reasonably tasting, but needs some additions

My wife and I ate the large size chicken pot pies last night. We discussed the pies while consuming them. We both agreed that there was not enough chicken or sauce in the pies and that there was too much crust. The sauce tasted good—just not enough of it.

Bought the 8 pack of 10 ounce pot pies. Was also very disappointed. Haven't had for a long time, but they were on sale so I thought I would try. Lack of ingredients ... mostly pie crust ... lack of chicken, peas and carrots. Taste was okay and had sufficient gravy. Not worth the 610 calories, and definitely no 17 grams of protein. Will share with friends to get their opinions.

    Depressed

what has changed in your pot pies? They used to be good a done shells. The last two I have cooked in the oven have come out soggy undercooked bottoms. Pre heat oven to 400 degrees and use the lid and pit on on a baking sheet. Sixty five plus minutes for the bigger single size. Tonight’s even sat in the oven tonight an extra 20 plus minutes due to Wife having a flat tire. Still undercooked and not crusty. Yes my oven is working correctly because everything else I put in it comes out just fine. Im thinking the temp used to be 425 for the same amount of time but can’t be sure. Guess I gotta start looking for something else quick and good.

    Quality has dropped

I used to buy this regularly then stopped for a while. I recently bought a couple and the quality has dropped tremendously. It was so dry I couldn't hardly eat it; it needed more "soupy" texture. Also, there were very few vegetables and chicken pieces inside. It felt like I was eating crust. I hope this all changes because they used to be very good.

We have loved the small chicken pot pie but they no longer cook well, stick to the paper pie plate and are unevenly cooked in the oven. So disappointing, I will have to remove this option from my meal plans.

    Simply The Best

Hands down, the best pot pie available on the grocery market. Anybody complaining about the flavor of texture of this pot pie is likely just too dumb to operate a microwave oven correctly because, microwaved correctly, they are excellent. Five stars across the board.
